Downtown Berkeley YMCA Child Watch and Fun & Fitness

Child Watch: Ages 8 Weeks–7 Years

Child Watch is a drop–off service for Full Service Members of the Downtown Berkeley YMCA. Your children are provided with positive social experiences in a secure and playful environment, while you take advantage of the Y facility. Child Watch is staffed by loving and conscientious staff and volunteers. Low ratios are implemented at all times. Parents must remain in the YMCA building while their child is in Child Watch.

Child Watch offers flexible payment options to meet your needs:

  1. Intermediate use: $30 dollars per month for up to six visits
  2. Frequent use: $50/month for unlimited visits.
  3. Drop in rate: $6 per hour, charged at the time of your visit.
Financial Assistance is available - Two–hour maximum applies - $15 registration fee - Your first visit to Child Watch is free!

Hours of Operation:

Monday–Thursday 8:45am–2:00pm, and 4:00–7:30pm
Friday 8:45am–2:00pm, and 5:00–7:30pm
Saturday: 8:30am–2:30pm
Sunday: 8:30am–1:30pm

Fun & Fitness: AGES 6–13

Fun & Fitness is a drop–off program for children of Full Service members. Located in our Activity Room and Fit Kids Center, kids can play air hockey, foosball, engage in arts & crafts, work on homework, or play group games while their parents are exercising. Parents must remain in the YMCA building while their child is in Fun & Fitness, however, middle school students (ages 11–13) who have a signed parental agreement on file may sign in and out of the program independently.

$15 registration fee (waived for those with financial assistance) - Two–hour maximum applies

Saturday 9:00am–2:00pm
Sunday 9:00am–1:30pm
