Youth and Government is our preeminent leadership development and civic engagement program for middle- and high-school students. Both Model United Nations and Model Legislature & Court encourage critical thinking, strengthen interpersonal communication skills, and raise awareness and engagement in community issues.
Youth & Government is a hands-on learning experience that builds vital leadership and social skills in middle and high school teens. Through a simulation learning process, participants play key positions in world politics and state government, learn how to solve community problems through the democratic process, as well as debate and discuss issues with their peers all over California.
The Model United Nations program is a simulation of the United Nations that gives middle school students an opportunity to learn about the world around them through leadership skill building and cultural awareness. In MUN, students are given the opportunity to discuss international issues, discover other cultures, develop life-enhancing skills, and make new friends.
