What is the My Y is Every Y membership benefit?

This benefit allows active, full facility Y members the flexibility to use participating YMCA facilities in Northern California. Active adult members of a participating Y facility may visit any other participating Northern California Ys at no additional cost. Host Y visits should not meet or exceed monthly visits at the Home Y.

Home YMCA – YMCA that receives the member’s dues
Host YMCA – YMCA the member visits

What is the purpose of the My Y is Every Y benefit?

As a membership-based community service organization, promoting healthy living is our cause. By providing value and convenience to busy families and individuals throughout the Bay Area/Northern California and speaking with one voice, we strengthen a YMCA member’s sense of belonging.

Through My Y is Every Y, our organization will be able to:

  • Improve our ability to help members adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle by offering them to the opportunity to exercise where they live, work and play.

  • Increase membership growth and retention through higher value and greater impact.

  • Enhance the YMCA brand state-wide by increasing membership value and experiential opportunities for members.


Who is eligible to participate?

The program is valid for active YMCA full facility ADULT members only, not program or promotional members. Promotional members are defined by limited time or limited-visit memberships, such as summer or holiday memberships.

Third-party payer participants (such as Silver Sneakers, Silver & Fit, etc.) are not eligible for participation in My Y is Every Y.

Is there a fee to participate?

No, this program is offered as a benefit for all active full facility adult members. Members must maintain an active membership in good standing at their Home Y.

How do members find out about restrictions in place at other YMCAs?

Each YMCA will outline any program participation restrictions on their website. Members should visit Host Y's website or calling prior to visiting them. Some Host YMCAs do require a liability waiver to be signed with each visit.

Who is the My Y is Every Y contact person at each YMCA?

Each Y Association has designated an administrator to serve as its contact for this benefit. At our Y's, ask for the Membership Director. He/She will be able to answer any questions you may have.
