Berkeley Delegation

Welcome to the Berkeley MUN Delegation

Since 2014, the Model United Nations program has been building leadership skills in middle school youth in Berkeley. The delegation focuses on world issues, learning about different cultures, and building essential skills in communication, research, and problem solving. They attend two (2) statewide conferences where they role-play countries and engage in new friendships.

The Model United Nations program is a simulation of the "real-life" United Nations that gives middle school students an opportunity to learn about the world around them through leadership skill building and cultural awareness.

Our delegations focus their energy on three (3) areas with Experiential Learning at its core:

WORLD ENGAGEMENT CULTURAL COMPETANCY SKILL BUILDING
• Geography
• Current Events
• Philanthropy
 • Customs and Traditions
• Difference
• World Relations
 • Communication
• Problem Solving
• Research
